OK, I dont know what happened to the rest of my post but trust me - it was BRILLANT! Ok, ok I'll try to recreate....I was talking about shopping in Venice. It was a lot of fun but I dont know where the old, fat and poor people like myself shop.
I also got to stay in the famous Bevely Hilton where they have the Golden Globes and about 130 awards shows a year. I didnt see anyone famous but it was a treat for me. I've decided to add to my nearly empty "bucket list" staying in the worlds most famous hotels. Other people want to climb mountains, me i want a cushy bed and room service.
We also had a visit from "Auntie Jane". We love her even though she is a Yankee (shh, dont tell my folks). She is the PERFECT house guest - she doesnt want to run around all day. We had a lovely dinner at The Brocks and Jaimie even took Kayla swiming. She is so good with Kayla and I can tell Kayla loves to spend time with her. The rest of the time we just tooled around and did some shopping and went to Lake Eola. Jane seemed to think Florida in the summer was warm - hmmm, how strange.
I had 4 days off for the July 4th holiday but didnt go to my folks since I'll be vacationing there later this month. I hated to miss my step sisters annual visit with her family but theres always Xmas. No fireworks this year and was thrilled Kayla slept through all of the hoopla. I was very productive and cleaned my closet for a "Dress For Success" event. Even spent a day with LeLe looking at houses for her and another doing more fun stuff like going to the play ground and eating chicken wings!
LeLe and Megan babysat while I started a new class at church called, "What Every Mom Needs". So far I like it because all of these normal Moms (let's face it, normal isnt the first word that comes to mind when you think of Cathy), were expressing thoughts that I thought only I dad like what a thrill it is to go to the grocery store alone.
Megan also took Kayla swiming which has become her favorite thing.I actually spell it out now if we arent going so she doesnt get excited. Yesterday Miss. Krisie said they were going swiming and then put her brand new swim SHIRT on. She said Kayla thought they were NOT going swiming and started freaking out. She had to put the shirt in the water to show her what it was for. She's soooo cute. She is taking more swim lesson during vacation.
Upcoming events - visit from Aunt Karen, going to Baltimore and folks babysitting and vacation in Marco!
